About:

The idea of developing a “visual dialogue” between Providence children, adults, teens, artists, students, and community members is the inspiration and starting point of this community project. It will hopefully encourage locals to create meaningful artworks that represent each person’s separate ideals, but as a whole create an interesting and complex work. Each participant will reflect on the previous work, and then respond by developing a new piece.

This sketchbook will be a carrier of ideas, inspiration, and stories within the Providence community. Hopefully, it will give participants the chance to communicate with those who they would, unfortunately, rarely exchange words. Perhaps this will enable transformations within our community in a way that allows us to reflect upon the parallels between the idea of community and the act of communication.

For more information...or to sign up as a participant...please contact Rebecca Volynsky via email (rebeccavol@gmail.com).
